Maximum efficiency at the minimum dimensions – from the VIA

Via Technologies launched EPIA PX5000EG Pico-ITX: x86 processor, with the smallest energy consumption on the smallest base plaque in the world (10 x 7,2 cm).

VIA Eden ULV processor has a frequency of 500 MHz and maximum energy consumption of 1 watt (in stand-by energy consumption is only 0,1 watt), being considered the most efficient processor in the world (from the viewpoint of energy consumption in the same category). VIA EPIA PX5000EG plaque is based on the other company success, VIA EPIA PX10000 Pico-ITX, which allows the whole x86 performance in an extremely low space, using innovative technologies for energy efficiency and warmth dissipation.

VIA EPIA PX5000EG supports up to 1 GB of DDR2 memory, has a LVDS/DVI connector, VGA, integrated sound plaque: sound on 5.1 channels, line-out, line-in, mic-in, S/PDIF-in connectors, integrated Fast Ethernet 100/10 network plaque, IDE and SATA support, 6 USB 2.0 ports and one COM port. It also has an integrated video VIA UniChrome Pro II IGP 3D/2D plaque with a MPEG 2 / 4 and WMV9 decoder, PS/2 connectors for keyboard and mouse, one multimedia connector with an extern TV-out connector, one Pico-ITX for electric energy supplying and not only.

The complet system stability and impressive performance are reached due to the architecture and technologies that VIA Eden ULV processor includes.

Unfortunately, the prize was not announced, it is only available by contacting company selling representations.
