Pioneer announced the release of its latest Blu-ray, DVD and CD writer on Tuesday. It is BDR-2203. The burner is SATA-attached and can write to dual-layer Blu-ray discs at up to 8x speeds. For example, single-layer 25 GB Blu-ray disc will be burned in just 15 minutes. Also DVD recordable discs can be written at up to 16x speeds. CD-Rs can be recorded at 32x speeds. The maximum speed of rewritable CDs rated at 24x.Pioneers burner comes with CyberLink PowerDirector, PowerDVD and Power2Go. This software allows Windows users to edit videos recorded on their HD camcorders. Also it allows inserting photos, songs and other home videos. The price of BDR-2203 is near 250 USD.
